Words 2 Craft By challenge

The inspiration words for the current challenge at Words 2 Craft By is one of my favorite quotes:
"The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step."
It's definitely an inspiration that I try to follow but, being human, often fail. I think I'll put my card on my fridge or bulletin board as motivation!

"It's Hip to be Square!" challenge

Welcome to the new Cards In Envy challenge: "It's Hip to be Square". Your card can be square-shaped or have square elements on it.

I found a gorgeous vintage inchie card online and decided to C.A.S.E. it. Here is the square card I made; all the inchies and layers are square:

I hope you'll join in the "Square" fun at Cards In Envy! Thanks for stopping by!

"For the Girls" challenge at SAS4K

I love this digital stamp, "Jessie", that I found at Di's Digi Downloads. I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils; challenging but fun hair to color!

I made this for the Send A Smile 4 Kids "For the Girls" challenge:

Thanks for stopping by; have a good week!

A Carmen Miranda-type ATC

I've recently gotten into creating and swapping ATCs, thanks to two groups I belong to on FB. It is really fun and I am accumulating quite a collection of ACTs from artists near and far. I made this ACT for an "Add a Label" swap using #veralanestudio digis.  It was inspired by watching the colorful Olympics opening festivities in Rio on TV and when I walked by my fruit bowl it "spoke" to me.

Digis from several #veralanestudio sets

"By the Sea" at Frilly and Funkie

Welcome! The new challenge at Frilly and Funkie Blog is "By the Sea." I had great fun making this card with a beautiful woodmount stamp from The Queen's Ink, a fabulous store in Savage, Maryland.

I colored the crab with distress inks, cut it out, and brushed it with Glossy Accents.

Blue crabs are a huge part of the heritage of living in the Chesapeake Bay region. I hope you enjoy my card!
